What you can expect from us

At Cannongate Counselling we provide an impartial, confidential and non-judgemental setting where you are supported towards exploring what you feel, what you want and how you might get it. The relationship may be short or long term depending on your needs and circumstances.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FIRST SESSION?

At the first meeting we will assess your needs, and together agree how best you may be helped. Each session thereafter will last for an hour.

WHERE WILL YOU BE SEEN?

Cannongate Counselling operates in the centre of Hythe at Osborne House, Portland Road, which is off Stade Street. There is frequent mainline transport within minutes of the practice. There is also a free car park nearby.

HOW DO YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

You may telephone us on 01303 267353 between 8.30am and 8pm, Monday to Friday and on Saturdays and Sundays between 10.00 and 12.00. If we are unavailable then please leave a message and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.

Alternatively you can email us at either: mail@cannongatecounselling.co.uk or pennygraham@talktalk.net

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Our standard costs are £45 for individuals and £55 - £90 for couples. Since we see clients in different financial circumstances our fees can vary. Couples have the option of being seen either by one or two of us. Couples often report that working with us together tends to offer benefits which are felt to be more supportive. Moreover, the work is typically more rapid.

We will discuss this with you during our initial contact with you.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

Counselling takes place within the framework of a confidential setting. To maintain the highest standards, all counsellors & therapists are bound to have regular supervision. This means that we discuss our work with a supervisor, who also follows the rules of confidentiality laid down by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
