WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US

At Cannongate Counselling we provide an impartial, confidential and non-judgemental setting where we help you explore and clarify what you feel, what you want or need, and how you might get it.  Counselling can be short, medium or long term depending on your needs and circumstances.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FIRST SESSION?

The first session gives us the opportunity to meet each other, clarify how best to meet your needs/wants and how you go about doing that for yourself.  Counselling can take several different approaches and we are essentially guided by what is important for you.

WHERE WILL YOU BE SEEN?

Cannongate Counselling operates in the centre of Hythe at Osborne House, Portland Road, which is off Stade Street.  There is a frequent bus service within minutes of the practice.  There is also unrestricted on-street parking as well as a car park nearby. View map.

HOW DO YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

You may telephone us on 01303 267353 between 08.30 and 19.00 Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays between 10.00 and 12.00.  We are closed on Sundays.  If we are unavailable to answer your call then please leave a message and we will get back to you within 24 hours.  Alternatively you can email us at: mail@cannongatecounselling.co.uk

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Our standard costs are £50 for individuals and £80 – £100 for couples in different financial circumstances.  We aim to make our work with couples as affordable as possible.  Currently we charge £100 per session for couples.  However, where couples are struggling with finance or on benefit, we adjust the rate for a limited period.

To maintain the highest standards, all counsellors & therapists are bound to have regular supervision laid down by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.  Members of the BACP means that we are bound by its Codes of Ethics and Practice and subject to its Complaints Procedure.
